The Mental Health Association in Westmoreland County is a non-profit agency that works for better mental health and victory over mental illness through programs of advocacy, education and service.
Despite the fact that one in five people suffer with mental illness, it is still quite often considered a taboo subject. Most of the fears about individuals with mental illness are based on misconceptions and myths.
The MHA Speakers' Bureau is available to make presentations to church, civic, school and other community groups.
